Abdulrahman R.S Marjan

Mr. Abdulrahman R.S Marjan is the Communication Officer of Arigatou International-Nairobi. He is a reliable, transparent and efficient individual who has effectively specialized in the field of Communication and Peace Building.

In 2012, he worked at Radio Salaam, a national radio station in Kenya, which has its roots deep in the coastal part of the country. He also practiced his career skills in the subsequent years in The Kenya Ports Authority as a Public Relations Manager and in Mombasa Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) as a marketing and communication manager. His professionalism in providing high quality public relations, diplomacy and communications advisory services in the industry has created a strong brand for him to thrive at and also create a better image to the organizations he has been attached to.

Abdulrahman has a special interest in development and care. In his free time, he volunteers at schools and the community level to give motivational career speeches and counselling to the youth. His motivation towards reducing illiteracy in Kenya has had him offer voluntarily constructions in the Coastal, Nyanza and Western Regions of Kenya. In addition, he hopes to bring change to the third world countries by ensuring that community development projects are participatory in approach; which ensures community ownership and sustainability.

Mr. Marjan holds a Bachelor in Communications and Media with IT from Maseno University; and a Masters in Armed Conflict and Peace Studies from the University of Nairobi.
