The BRAVE Messengers camp is a programme that targets in-school boys between 13 – 18 years of age. CSCR targeted participants from Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Nairobi, North Eastern, Upper Eastern and west Kenya. Objectives of the messenger camps were; Generate debate, dialogue and conversation among the youth on challenges facing them and provision of solutions, exposure of the youth to the narratives of the extremist groups used for recruitment of unsuspecting youth, establish BRAVE  Messengers structures in the regions, build youth capacity for positive peer influence on peace matters and countering Violent Extremism, familiarize participants on BRAVE counter narrative strategy to fight back the mis use of Quran and Sunnah, building resilience for in school youth against violent extremism, imparting life skills in youth and creating awareness on narratives of violent extremist groups and counter narratives.
